Good gear gets even better with age. An experiment kindly conducted together with PB 0110, exploring the possibilities of AI-generated product imagery in regards to ageing and patina. Inspired by Philipp Bree’s philosophy of timeless design and honest materials, the project aimed to evaluate how AI could complement traditional product photography and open up new creative possibilities. Through a series of test we explored how AI treats product forms, materials, lighting, and patina with the technology available in 2025.
